Patch for our jam game?!?


Hello all of you juice lovers!

We have patched the game, nothing major but just some performance improvements. Unreal 5.3, the engine our game was made on, has virtual shadow maps on by default. This is a great option for highest end graphics, creating best looking shadows for next gen graphics (especially Nanite). It is, however, very performance heavy. It's now off by default.

In case you want to know how it affects performance, we added some new tools. F1 brings out FPS-counter (Thanks Nick from techarthub!). F4 toggles Virtual Shadow Maps on and off. And just for fun, F5 toggles Lumen on and off. This game was not build with Lumen in mind and we didn't bother to touch anything for Lumen, so it looks quite bad, but gives interesting look on how software Lumen works.

Sorry penquin folk, I upgraded my computer recently and haven't managed to get Linux versions to build. We'll get to it later.
